ROOK. Messenger son of Mother Nature and the Lord of Death. The first interfacer between his parents and supplicants, even other gods. The Earth Mother is capricious and reclusive. Death is...busy. Rook is here to help facilitate.

It earns her the title of The Jackal for how often she's found scavenging in battlefields and graveyards.

_{SYLVANA STRIXVARIA. Elven hermit mage of unknown age and magic. Exceptional alchemist and arcanist, known most commonly as The Emerald Witch or The Witch of the Graves due to her main sightings occurring deep within the sacred woods of the Emerald Graves. Some call her a witch, others says she’s a forest aberration and guardian. Some even claim she is a lost member of the Evanuris. These are titles and rumors she has no inclination to suppress if it means people keep away from her.}_{(Dragon Age Veilguard Spoilers) But when Solas declares his intention to tear down the Veil, the Emerald Witch is forced to face a truth. That she was young when elves took on physical bodies. That her spirit was something for which mortals have no name in their languages (maternal creation? inspiration? satisfaction?). That her new, young body had been corrupted by Ghilan'nain's Blight experiment. Did she volunteer? Had she been forced? Eons have faded the lines between coercion and temptation -- not even Sylvana can remember.}_{The truth does little to comfort. When the old Blight is released from its prison, so too does it awaken from its dormancy in Sylvana's now old body. The moment Solas' ritual fails, the Blight begins to ravage her body slowly over time. Depending on the Veilguard's leadership, they may understand her plight. Or they may leave her to turn into a beast of wretched, disgusting proportion. The Veilguard must decide: Can she be saved? Or must she be slain?

She is the owner and matriarch of a strange bundle of buildings nestled in a frigid mountain valley, built out of the remnants of an old mining facility. Onyx is many things based on what rumors one has heard. Is it a settlement? A person? A beast? Those in contract with Onyx know them by much more pragmatic terms: a manufacturer of ballistics and poisons. They could care less why someone would want what they sells -- all they care about is getting money, then being left the fuck alone.
